Who we are

The New York Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund (NYDRRF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to delivering life-saving aid, empowering communities, and advocating for climate justice. We operate at the intersection of humanitarian response and long-term resilience—mobilizing relief today while building the foundations for a safer, more sustainable tomorrow.

Born out of a deep concern for the world’s most vulnerable populations—especially in developing countries—NYDRRF exists to respond swiftly to disasters, support communities in rebuilding their lives, and equip them to face the growing threats of climate change.

We believe that resilience is not just about recovery—it’s about restoration with dignity, and preparation with purpose. That’s why our programs go beyond immediate aid. We invest in local leadership, prioritize Indigenous and community-led solutions, and champion evidence-based research to inform policy and practice.

Whether we’re delivering emergency relief after a typhoon, training grassroots responders, or raising awareness at international climate forums, our commitment is the same: to stand in solidarity with those on the frontlines of disaster and climate impact—and help them reclaim their future. every community can rebuild with dignity and hope.

Programs

The Fund for Resilient Futures (F4RFs) is a flagship grant-making program of the New York Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund (NYDRRF) established in 2025 to strengthen community resilience and inclusive recovery in disaster-prone communities.

The F4RFs will channel financial resources and technical support to accredited NGOs, faith-based organizations, and local communities engaged in humanitarian response, post-disaster rehabilitation, and long-term resilience-building.

Over a five-year period (2025–2030), the Fund aims to reach disaster-ridden and prone communities not only to recover from crises but to emerge stronger and more resilient.

The F4RFs aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the 2015 Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
